Chef Social Showcase Part 2
During the first lockdown, we encouraged all Chefs and friends in Hospitality to tag & share the food they had been cooking, practicing and any menu developments they produced at home.
Here at Continental Chef Supplies, we want to show our support to the hospitality industry by bringing back the Chef Social Showcase to highlight the passion of all Chefs & Bakers behind closed doors.
Here is a recap of all the inspiring dishes that have been shared over social media, from professional chefs to keen bakers.
- Chef Robert Thompson (@chefrobertthompson) owner of Thompson's in Newport on the Isle of Wight shared a recipe via The Staff Canteen of his Chargrilled Leg of Lamb with Salsa Verde - have a go at this succulent dish!
- Writer & Chef Linda Galloway (@daffodilsouplondon) shared an easy to follow recipe on Youtube of her Chessboard Trillionaire's Shortbread - to get into the festive spirit she also shared a recipe that she has been perfecting for years of her Chocolate Mince Pies. Suitable for chocoholics.
- Chef Andy Mcleish (@andy_mcleish) owner of Chapter One in Locksbottom Kent shared his homemade Focaccia - he showcased many outstanding dishes throughout the first lockdown, including a 5-minute charity cooking challenge set up by Chef Tom Aiken for 'Hospitality against Homelessness'.
- Chef Ruth Hansom (@ruthhansom), Head Chef at The Princess of Shoreditch in London shared a recipe via The Staff Canteen of Veal Sweetbread - glazed in madeira sauce, Black pudding, walnut crumb, and spiced carrot/squash puree. Ruth has also spent lockdown developing dishes for The Princess of Shoreditch - she can't wait to get back into the kitchen.
- Michelin Starred-Chef Tom Kerridge (@cheftomkerridge) shared a recipe to brighten up weekday mealtimes, his very own Mushroom and Truffle Macaroni Cheese - if you're keen to give this a go, share your attempts via social media & tag @cheftomkerridge.

- NCOTY Finalist, Chef April Lily Partridge (@chef_april_lily) has inspired us all by creating her own range of products for 'Pril's Pantry' such as, Kouign Amanns, Cookie Dough, Macarons & Focaccia. Since leaving The Ledbury, April has been determined to showcase her passion as a young Chef - we can't wait to see what she comes up with next.
- Chef Hayden Groves (@haydenkgroves) who won NCOTY in 2013 shared a recipe via The Staff Canteen, consisting of Macadamia, Fig and Cacao Trail Bars - a quick and easy healthy treat to make during the last week of the second lockdown.
As we start going back to the 'new normal', whether you are a keen home cook, baker, amateur or professional chef we encourage you to continue to tag & share your foodie creations with us. Tag @chefsdotnet on Instagram and Twitter to be shared on our feed.
