Her Majesty The Queen has celebrated 70 years of service, becoming the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. The celebration will take place between Thursday 2nd and Sunday 5th June and there will be many ways to celebrate including Trooping the Colour, Platinum Jubilee Beacons and The Big Jubilee Lunch. Thursday 2nd June

Trooping the Colour

Starting at 11am on Thursday 2nd June 2022, the colour will be trooped by the 1st Battalion, Irish guards, 1200 officers and soldiers, hundreds of army musicians and 240 horses!

During this parade, members of the public will be able to watch the ceremony live on BBC and Sky television as well as watching on large screens that will be set up in St James' Park.

Platinum Jubilee Beacons

Since 1897, beacons were lit to celebrate The Late Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. Since then, the beacons have been used to commemorate the Silver, Golden and Diamond Jubilees of The Queen as well as her 90th birthday in 2016.

Suggestion

We have put together a selection of afternoon tea products for your customers to enjoy whilst watching the troops marching the colour or the lighting of the beacons.

Friday 3rd June

Service of Thanksgiving

The largest church bell in the country, located at St Pauls Cathedral, will be rung for the service. This will be the 1st royal occasion it will be rung.

Saturday 4th June

The Derby at Epsom Downs

The Queen and other members of the Royal Family will attend the Derby at Epsom Downs.

Platinum Party at the Palace

Famous faces from the entertainment world will perform musical tributes to 22,000 people on Saturday, June 4th. This includes 10,000 people who were chosen by public ballot and 5,000 key workers.

Sunday 5th June

The Platinum Jubilee Pageant

Led by the gold state carriage and the sovereign's escort, the pageant will showcase iconic moments, national treasures, figures from music, film, sport and the arts from The Queens reign over the past 70 years.

The Big Jubilee Lunch

Over 10 million people across the UK will be joining the celebrations from street parties to back garden BBQ's. People across the world (from Canada to Brazil, New Zealand to Japan and South Africa to Switzerland) will also be celebrating with a big Jubilee Lunch.
