Twentyeight: Premium Cutlery Collection

Bunzl Lockhart Catering Equipment has launched a collection of premium cutlery, which uniquely has been designed with each one styled to make it the perfect accompaniment for a particular type of dining experience. Designed and distributed exclusively through the business, Twentyeight features five, completely new patterns produced from the finest quality 18/10 stainless steel.

The Collections

The collection includes Gamma which takes its inspiration from classic wave forms, and specifically the rounded shape of the sine wave (a mathematical curve that describes a smooth repetitive oscillation). For operators, gamma is about adding drama to a table presentation to create a real sense of theatre.

In contrast, Delta is devoid of any unnecessary detailing, making it ideal for operators looking to create a simple, minimalist style of table presentation, perhaps ‘nouvelle cuisine’ or where the focus needs to be firmly on the food.

Based around a classic teardrop shape, Epsilon is about the enjoyment of long, lingering dining experiences. The smooth rounded curves of the handles have been designed to sit perfectly in the palm of the hand for long periods of time.

Theta is the hybrid, merging both curves and flat surfaces in one unified design to combine the best elements of both styles. A key element of the design is the knife handle which is turned through 90° from a traditional design, which allows it to curve down to a slim tapered neck.

Omega is ideal for operators looking to create a traditional dining experience for customers. The collection has stepped back in time to the 18th century and the classic ‘Bead’ pattern, however integrating the original pearl detailing, but with cleaner, simpler lines to add a subtle touch of modernism.

Pricing is excellent across the collection. For example, the Theta range starts from just £21.96 and has 12 pieces in the collection from £21.96.
