Milkshake's boozier older brother - the ultimate indulgence...
The Trend
How times change. Once upon a time the milkshake was a simple pleasure. Popularised by American teenagers and the iconic malt shops of the 1950's it was almost the ultimate symbol of a more innocent bygone era. But more recently the milkshake has gone all rock n roll on us in the shape of the trend for Alcholic Milkshakes.
Decidedly more Keith Richards than Buddy Holly, the milkshake's boozier older brother might almost be described as the ultimate indulgence, combining as it does the doubly wicked pleasures of ice cream and alcohol. Let's be honest, what's not to like? But there is definitely an art to getting this self-indulgent combination right, as done badly the results can be too sickly-sweet with the key ingredients fighting for domination of your taste buds.
